Fertab 50mg 10 Tablets
- An oral ovulation-inducing agent used in the management of female infertility. It stimulates the release of hormones required for ovulation, thereby increasing the chancesof conception in women with certain types of infertility.
Indications:
- Treatment of anovulatory infertility (failure to ovulate).
- Induction of ovulation in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
- Management of infertility in women with irregular menstrual cycles due to ovulatory dysfunction.
- As part of assisted reproductive therapy when ovulation induction is required.
Main Active Ingredient:
- Clomifene citrate 50 mg per tablet.
Precautions:
- For use in women only; not indicated for men.
- Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Avoid in patients with:
- Liver disease or history of liver dysfunction.
- Uncontrolled thyroid or adrenal disorders.
- Ovarian cysts not due to PCOS.
- Abnormal uterine bleeding of unknown cause.
- Use with caution in women with enlarged ovaries or at risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).
- Risk of multiple pregnancies (twins or more).
- Long-term use not recommended (typically limited to 6 cycles).
- Regular pelvic examinations and monitoring of ovulation response are advised.

Drug–Drug Interactions:
- Hormonal contraceptives or estrogen therapy.
- Other fertility drugs (gonadotropins, hCG).
- Anticoagulants .
- Alcohol .
