Gaviscon Infant 30 Sachets
- An oral powder treatment for infants and young children designed to manage reflux, regurgitation, and gastric discomfort. It works by forming a protective barrier in the stomach that prevents acid and milk from flowing back into the esophagus.
Indications:
- Gastro-oesophageal reflux in infants and children.
- Regurgitation of feeds (“posseting” or spitting up).
- Discomfort related to acid reflux or feed backflow.
Main Active Ingredients (per sachet):
- Sodium Alginate 225 mg.
- Magnesium Alginate 87.5 mg.
Precautions:
- Use only under medical advice for infants under 1 year of age.
- Do not use in premature infants unless prescribed by a healthcare professional.
- Avoid in children with known hypersensitivity to alginates or any component of the product.
- Caution in infants with kidney or heart disease due to sodium and magnesium content.
- Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
- Not suitable for adults.
Possible Side Effects:
- Constipation.
- Diarrhea.
