Kerotrin Extra 10 Tablets
- "An enhanced oral proteolytic enzyme formulation combining trypsin and chymotrypsin, designed to support rapid reduction of inflammation, swelling, and promote healing in a variety of trauma, postoperative, and inflammatory conditions.
Indications:
- Prevention and resorption of post-traumatic and post-operative edema.
- Swelling associated with abscesses/infections.
- Varicose veins, hemorrhoids, thrombophlebitis, and fistulas.
- Traumatic injuries, hematomas, sequelae of fractures and sprains.
- Swelling & pain after dental/oral surgical procedures; facial trauma & infection.
- Inflammatory edema secondary to infections (tonsillitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, otitis).
- Additional settings listed: nasal fractures; respiratory mucosal inflammations (bronchitis, rhinitis); after caesarean section or episiotomy; gynecological exudative conditions, with tendency to fibrosis/adhesion; eye trauma or postoperative/vitreous hemorrhage.
Main Active Ingredients:
- Trypsin.
- Chymotrypsin.
Precautions:
- Avoid use in patients with known hypersensitivity to trypsin, chymotrypsin, or similar enzyme preparations.
- Use with caution in patients with hepatic (liver) or renal (kidney) impairment.
- Be cautious with patients having bleeding or coagulation disorders, or those using anticoagulant therapy (risk of increased bleeding).
- Pregnancy & breastfeeding: limited safety data; use only if clearly needed and under medical supervision.
- Not recommended in cases of pulmonary hemorrhage.
- If there is severe allergy history, previous enzyme reactions, or sensitive individuals, extra monitoring is required.
Side Effects:
- Stomach pains, indigestion, sometimes diarrhea.
- Rash, itching, swelling of face or throat, possibly respiratory symptoms.
- Anaphylactic reactions in very sensitive individuals.
Drug-Drug Interactions:
- Concurrent use of anticoagulants may increase bleeding risk.
- Addition of other proteolytic enzyme products may increase risk of adverse / overlapping effects.
- Use with medications that affect coagulation.
- No well-documented interactions with many other drug classes, but always inform your healthcare provider of all medicines being taken."
