- "A fertility medication containing gonadotrophins used to stimulate the ovaries in women undergoing assisted reproductive techniques (ART) and to support spermatogenesis in men with specific hormonal deficiencies.
Indications:
- Treatment of women with anovulation (including polycystic ovary syndrome) who do not respond to clomiphene citrate.
- Controlled ovarian hyperstimulation in women undergoing assisted reproductive techniques (e.g., IVF, ICSI).
- Stimulation of spermatogenesis in men with primary or secondary hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, in combination with hCG.
Main Active Ingredient:
- Menotropins (Human Menopausal Gonadotrophin, hMG).
Precautions:
- Should only be administered under supervision of a fertility specialist.
- Risk of Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS), particularly in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.
- Increased risk of multiple pregnancy if proper monitoring is not followed.
- Contraindicated in women with ovarian, breast, uterine, or testicular tumors.
- Contraindicated in cases of unexplained vaginal bleeding, ovarian cysts not related to PCOS, or primary ovarian/testicular failure.
- Caution in patients with history of blood clots, severe uncontrolled thyroid/adrenal disorders.
